PerlaneFDA Approved: Now Available!Perlane consists of larger particles of hyaluronic acid (HA) manufactured using the same process as Restylane. Both products consist of two-phase system of a carrier non-cross-linked HA that suspends a cross-linked HA of particles or "beads" of long-lasting material that provides the tissue -expansion effect. Perlane is to Restylane what Juvederm Ultra is to Juvederm Ultra Plus. It is a thicker formulation of larger particle size that provides a more robust tissue-filling effect than Restylane. Typically it is injected into the deep dermis or sub-dermal layer to provide tissue expansion via the binding of water. Because the particles are larger in Perlane, the product can absorb more water, last longer and become 'stiffer' or have more power to expand the tissues. We offer our patients many choices when it comes to facial fillers. Currently available fillers include: Collagen, fat transfer, Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, Radiesse, Perlane and more to come.
