ContourLift facial Rejuvenation

Give your face a little lift

How does a ContourLift work?

A ContourLift™ is an innovative facial rejuvenation procedure designed to gently elevate sagging brows, cheeks and jowls. Due to the unique design of the delicate filaments used in the procedure, the surrounding tissues act to hold them in place without the need for visible scars. Your doctor will make a tiny notch, usually hidden behind the hairline or tucked behind the ear, and the fine Contour Threads™ are then advanced along the previously marked contours so they create a firm hold on the underlying tissues. The delicate filaments do the work of holding, by becoming fixated to tissue as they are softly smoothed into place. Once they are gently positioned, your body generates new collagen bundles that surround each filament to maintain the lifting effect. The result is a refreshed, rejuvenated and natural look without the telltale signs of major surgery.

What areas can be treated?

The ContourLift™ facial rejuvenation procedure may be used for repositioning sagging cheeks, lifting droopy eyebrows, and elevating the jowls and neck areas. The ContourLift™ is truly an individualized procedure – your doctor will customize the technique used based on your personal preferences, the quality and quantity of your skin, and your goals.

What are the advantages of a ContourLift?

The ContourLift™ is a minimally invasive facial rejuvenation procedure that offers lasting results without visible scars, a long recovery, general anesthesia, or a hospital stay. Another key advantage is the minimal time required to perform the ContourLift™. It is also much more affordable than a surgical face or brow lift. Due to the subtle nature of the ContourLift™ facial rejuvenation procedure, the results avoid a tight, operated, or over stretched look.

Am I a good candidate?

The best candidates tend to be women and men in their 40s to 60s who have minimal sagging of the brows, cheeks, jowls and neck. The ContourLift™ is ideal for someone who wants a more dramatic result than can be achieved with Botox® and filler injections, or skin tightening laser treatments, but does not want to have traditional cosmetic surgery.

Will general anesthesia be required?

No. The ContourLift™ procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia in your doctor’s office or clinic on an outpatient basis. If desired, light twilight sedation may also be used.

Are there any risks?

The risks of a ContourLift™ are most often related to the expertise of your doctor. As with all procedures, minor side effects may include numbness, slight asymmetry, irregularities, infection, bruising, swelling, and tenderness. These will be explained in depth by your doctor in advance of undergoing the procedure. When performed correctly, the side effects are usually temporary and easily resolved. The procedure is entirely reversible and adjustable for up to one month after the procedure is done.

How long does the procedure take?

The actual length of the ContourLift™ facial rejuvenation procedure varies and will depend on the number of filaments used by your doctor. A typical procedure takes about an hour to perform.

What can I expect after the procedure?

Your doctor will give you instructions to follow to minimize discomfort and speed up the healing process. Ice compresses are recommended for the first 24-48 hours. You will have some mild bruising and swelling that usually settles down quickly. Most patients can return to work or normal activities in less than a week. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for three weeks.

How many treatments will I need?

In most cases, a single ContourLift™ procedure is sufficient to achieve the desired lifting effect. If additional lifting is required, a second procedure may be done at any time.

How long does it last?

The longevity of a ContourLift™ depends on your age at the time of the procedure, the degree of sagging, the areas treated, the extent of the procedure, and the technique used. Over time, your facial areas will start to sag again. Many doctors report that results may last from two to four years. In most patients, additional filaments may be placed as needed to extend the results for even longer, and to keep up with the aging process.

Can I have other procedures done at the same time?

Many doctors have found that a ContourLift™ may be performed as a complement to other cosmetic procedures, such as dermal fillers, Botox®, liposuction, chemical peels and laser resurfacing, to enhance the results and provide a longer lasting rejuvenation.

Can I have a surgical face lift or brow lift in the future?

Absolutely. Developed by a board certified plastic surgeon, the unique design of the ContourLift™ facial rejuvenation procedure allows you to have a traditional surgical face lift or brow lift procedure whenever you are ready.

Is the ContourLift™ procedure FDA Cleared?

The patented ContourLift™ technology is FDA cleared for marketing.

What does it cost?

The cost of a ContourLift™ varies with the number of filaments that are used. The average cost of a typical procedure that elevates the brows, cheeks, and jowls ranges from about $3,500 - $5,000.

Who is qualified to perform a Contourlift™ procedure?

Only doctors are qualified to perform the ContourLift™ facial rejuvenation procedure. All doctors are advised to complete an intensive training course before they offer the ContourLift™ to their patients to ensure the best possible results.

How do I know that I am getting ContourLift™?

The unique patented technology of the ContourLift™ has made it the worldwide leader in minimally invasive short recovery facial rejuvenation procedures. Unlike many other systems and products, ContourLift™ filaments are clear in color so they are not visible under fair or thin skin.
