October is breast cancer awareness month

"Get your Mammogram."

Remember regular clinical examinations and screenings can help detect breast cancer early, while it is highly curable.  The American Cancer Society (ACS) recommends the following guidelines for women:

Ages 20 and up

Monthly breast self-examination

Age 20-39

bullet

Clinical breast examination every three years

Age 40 and up

bullet

Annual mammogram and clinical breast examination

bullet

Monthly breast self-examination

bullet

Yearly clinical breast examination by a trained health professional
